In short
We only use cookies that EdGenie needs to work (signing in, paying securely, remembering your choices). Anything else, such as measuring page speed, stays off unless you switch it on. You can change your mind at any time below.
1. Your choices
When you first visit, we ask whether you allow optional cookies. "Reject all" is as easy as "Accept all", and nothing optional runs until you choose. Your choice lasts 180 days, after which we ask again. We also ask again if we change what a category covers.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or pay.
3. Strictly necessary (always on)
These make EdGenie work, so the law does not require your consent for them. They are never used for advertising.

Local storage on your device
EdGenie also saves some things in your browser's storage so the features you use work: your basket and checkout progress, onboarding answers you have not finished, and preferences you choose yourself (such as background, video playback speed and picture-in-picture). They stay on your device and are not used to track you.
4. Analytics (off unless you switch it on)
Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load on real devices so we can find and fix slow ones. It does not set cookies, but it reads performance information from your browser, so we ask first. It is loaded from our own website, and the page addresses it sends have personal details and codes removed.
We also measure purchases on our own servers (see the Privacy Notice). That does not place or read anything on your device.
5. Marketing (off unless you switch it on)
We do not use any advertising cookies, pixels or tags on EdGenie today. The setting exists so that, if we ever add one, it can only run for people who have switched it on.
6. Other websites and emails
- Links to other sites (such as YouTube or TikTok) take you to services with their own cookie policies.
- Some of our emails load fonts from Google when you open them, which shares your IP address with Google.
